CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

Yoga Basics (Level 1: Gentle/Moderate)
For beginning and ongoing students. Includes breathing, mindfulness, modifications for individual needs.

Mixed Level Yoga (Levels 1 & 2: Moderate)
The fundamentals of asana and embodiment in a casual, workshop environment.

Yoga (Levels 1 & 2: Moderate/Strong)
Focus on strength, flexibility, presence, alignment and ease. A vigorous class. Includes vinyasa (flow) and embodiment.

Vinyasa Practice (All Levels: Strong)
An opportunity to breathe, challenge yourself, respect your body, and practice in community.

Beginners
Beginners welcome in most classes.

Join any time.

Private Sessions
Elaine is available for Private Sessions on an occasional, short-term or regular basis to address your individual interests and concerns. Sessions may focus on specific postures or techniques, address physical/life challenges, start or jump-start your practice.


 

HOUSEKEEPING NOTES

Please try to come to class 15 minutes early. Practice on an empty stomach.

Wear comfortable clothes; feet should be bare. Props are available. Please do not wear perfume or scents.

Listen to your body; if something doesn’t feel right to you, don’t do it. If you have physical challenges, please let Elaine know before class begins.

At the end of class (or if you have to leave early), spend several minutes in final relaxation.

FEES

Classes are offered on a sliding scale.
MCC classes are $17-21/drop-in.
$252-360/18/week session (Mondays/Tuesdays)
$210-300/15-week session (Thursdays)
$238-340/17-week session (Saturdays)
Registration can be pro-rated.
If you are unsure of your schedule, please come as a drop-in student. If you are having financial challenges, please let me know.

Makeups/Additional Classes
You may make up classes during your current session at any Hobbs House class. Classes are held on Monday holidays. Regular classes are not held on the Fourth of July, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s, and sometimes Halloween. Cancellations because of weather are rare; please call 781/367-1181.

GIFT CERTIFICATES
